Kayleigh Amerman
AmeriCorps Member
Kayleigh is joining the Herring Gut team through the Good Health Works AmeriCorps program. Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainability Science from Montclair State University before moving to Midcoast Maine permanently in 2024.
Outside of work, Kayleigh is very involved in the community; serving on the Board and singing with the Midcoast Community Chorus and singing with local a cappella group VoXX: Voice of Twenty. In the summer when the weather is nice, you can find her building fairy houses in the woods, kayaking on local lakes, or exploring local restaurants with her partner. In the winter Kayleigh is often hunkered down at her sewing machine making quilts for friends and family or snuggling with her cat.
She is very excited to join the team as an AmeriCorps Member to grow and explore new scientific interests!
