A Day of Fresh to Salt: Artist Invitational on Colby College’s Island Campus

Over 50 artists were recently invited to apply for A Day of Fresh to Salt. Eleven artists were selected by a 3-person jury to participate and travel from Port Clyde to Colby’s Island Campus. They will learn about the island’s history, hear how Colby College is using the island campus, and spend time exploring and creating art inspired by their day on this spectacular island. The art pieces they create during their island visit, or inspired by their visit, will be donated to a live auction at Herring Gut Coastal Science Center’s August 1, 2023 fundraising event Fresh to Salt: An Evening Poetry, People, and Plankton.
