Fresh to Salt: Flowing Together at the MEEA Conference 2023

May 19, 2023

Educators Kerianne Gwinnell and Alaina Zyhowski presented at the Maine Environmental Education Association conference in Belfast last week. They engaged the audience about the watershed education project: Fresh to Salt: Flowing Together. Teachers and environmental educators learned how the project integrates classroom and field experiences where students 'think' and 'do' like scientists and engineers. Attendees also experienced the habitat fragmentation activity about challenges alewives face on their migratory journey between fresh and salt water.

If you're an educator interested in attending our Professional Development Workshop and receiving the Anadromous Alewives lesson kit August 14-16, 2023, please reach out to us! We'd love to hear from you. You can also learn more and register directly at freshtosalt.org
