Ingenuity Year with the Forman School

We were excited to have the Forman School visit Herring Gut last week as part of their Ingenuity Gap Year Program. Participants learned about oyster farming from John Cotton and Toni Small of Ice House Oysters, Jill Pelto’s career as a climate change artist and science communicator, and Marcy Bonner’s career path that led to her position as Trails and Public Access Manager at Georges River Land Trust. Participants also collected water quality data using our Watershed Watchers protocol at Ash Point Preserve and two fresh water sites in Camden.
