Saltwater Series

Summer is a great time to explore the Maine coast and learn about marine ecology.

Herring Gut presents a series of fun and informative, hands-on activities year-round to inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.  Programs are free and open to children (and adults!) of all ages (children must be accompanied by a parent).  No registration necessary to participate in these fun events!

Sea Monsters & Science
Wednesday, October 25th, 6-7pm            Herring Gut Learning Center

Meet us at Herring Gut Learning Center to hear spooktacular stories about the Casco Bay Sea Serpent, the Kraken, mermaids, selkies, and more! Could any of these creatures be real? Learn what science has to say…
Be sure to wear your Halloween costume- there will be prizes for the creepiest cryptid and spookiest sea creature!

Check our website often for information on other autumn and winter Saltwater Series events.
