Today, the students of the Herring Gut Learning Center and RSU13 did an amazing thing for our planet. They joined World Oceans Day, a worldwide initiative to decrease the amount of trash that ends up polluting our oceans by doing a clean up of not only Marshall Point Light but the road to get there as well! The boys were surprised at the amount of garbage they found, especially cigarette butts. Many of these pollutants take years to decompose and the boys would like to ask the public to PLEASE be more responsible with your waste! They have each promised to tell five people about the good that they can do by cleaning up trash and stopping litter. Will you join their mission?
