On the morning of Wednesday, August 15th, Herring Gut Learning Center teamed up once again with Jackson Memorial Library to bring the Library's weekly story time to the shore. A group of enthusiastic story hour attendees joined Jackson Memorial Library's Assistant Director Samantha Cote and Herring Gut Learning Center Intern Katie Gloede for a reading of the famous "Andre the Seal", marine-themed songs and stories, and a create-your-own-seal craft.
The story hour was also an opportunity to bring families and the beloved community event to the newly organized Herring Gut Learning Center Library. The library holds over 400 books focused on marine ecology and aquaculture, and is open to the public most week days. Please call ahead for a schedule.
